The Speakers

Andrea Gallagher is the Public Relations Director at Crowley Webb, bringing 10 years of public relations and corporate communications experience to the role. Before joining the Crowley team, Andrea most recently served as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations at the Buffalo Museum of Science, and was previously an account director at global PR firm, Weber Shandwick, leading integrated multi-disciplinary campaigns for top consumer lifestyle and technology brands like Motorola, Honey Maid, and RITZ Crackers, Ubisoft and Honeywell.

Andrea graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication and a minor in Spanish. She received a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University.

Katie Briggs is a public relations professional with experience in developing PR programs for local to global companies across diverse industries. In a new role at Praxis —Crowley Webb’s patient recruitment division— Katie is charged with growing its advocacy outreach capabilities through working with advocacy groups, patients, and physicians to generate awareness for clinical research studies.

She joined Crowley Webb in the fall of 2014 to head up its public relations practice. Working closely with the digital and social media teams, she implemented both traditional and digital PR strategies, ideas, and programs, including product launches, publicity stunts, and influencer campaigns.

Prior to Crowley Webb, Katie worked at Eric Mower + Associates (Mower Agency), where she primarily focused on experiential and publicity programs, including influencer campaigns, grand openings, concerts, sampling events, vehicle giveaways, and even a flash mob.

Katie has worked with many well-known companies and brands, such as Pony Jorgensen, ESAB, Dunkin’, T.L. Cannon/Applebee’s, North American Breweries, WNY Ford Dealers, BlueCross BlueShield of WNY, and several major pharmaceutical companies.
