Dirty Little Secrets of the Creative Mind
What do those snarky creative folks have up the sleeves of their hip tee shirts? What are they hiding behind those expensive and goofy glasses? What the hell are they thinking? And how can you motivate them to do their best work? Well, John January, Co-CEO (and former ECD) of Midwest ad indie Sullivan Higdon & Sink, is here to pull back the stained curtain of the creative mind and lay bare all its revolting and magnificent secrets. If you work with or manage “creatives” this presentation will shed a bright light on some not-so-obvious communication gaps, and help you become a “creative whisperer.” If you call yourself a creative, this presentation will teach you far more about yourself than you might like to know. It’s funny. It’s thought-provoking. It’s true. Plus there will probably be cussing.
About the Speaker
John January is co-CEO at Sullivan, Higdon & Sink. He once sent some film unsolicited to the Sci-Fi Channel. They called back and asked for a campaign. John told one of the largest companies in the world they needed to make use of homemade signs on telephone poles. They listened. John created a podcast. BusinessWeek wrote about it. John’s creative work has been featured in Communication Arts, Creativity, Archive, Print, U.S. Ad Review, the national Addy’s, AIGA A8 and Best of NAMA.
