Description

Community Connections of New York, Inc.

part-time hybrid position in Buffalo, NY

Welcome to CCNY

Community Connections of New York, Inc. (CCNY) partners with health and human service providers and nonprofit organizations to help them harness the power of their data to better serve their communities. At its core, CCNY bridges the gap between complex data analytics and real-world community impact. Think of us as translators who help organizations turn numbers into actionable insights that improve people's lives.

Our work touches many aspects of community health and human services. We help organizations collect and manage their scattered data, analyze it meaningfully, and use those insights to enhance their programs and services. For example, when a nonprofit wants to understand if their youth programs are truly making a difference, we help them gather the right information, analyze it effectively, and use those findings to make their programs even stronger.

What makes CCNY unique is our multidisciplinary approach. Rather than looking at data in isolation, we connect all the pieces of the puzzle – from program evaluation and analytics to quality improvement and staff training. We're experts at making data accessible and useful for organizations that might not have in-house data specialists. Our team brings together deep technical expertise with a genuine understanding of the challenges facing health and human service organizations.

Our clients appreciate that we don't just deliver reports and walk away. Instead, we work alongside their teams, building their internal capacity to understand and use data effectively. We're known for making complex analytics approachable and, as our clients often say, "making it easy" for organizations to transform their data into meaningful improvements for their communities.

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a strategic Marketing Director to drive our thought leadership and partnership initiatives while generating qualified leads for our specialized services. This senior-level position demands a marketing professional who can translate complex technical concepts into compelling content that resonates with health and human services and nonprofit decision-makers.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this part-time role offers the opportunity to shape and execute high-impact marketing initiatives for a growing company. The position provides significant autonomy to develop and implement strategies while working closely with subject matter experts to showcase CCNY's deep expertise in data analytics and health and human services-based technology.

Role Details

The Marketing Director will serve as the primary architect of CCNY's external communications and thought leadership strategy. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on three core areas: content development, partnership management, and strategic distribution.

Content Development & Thought Leadership

In this capacity, the Marketing Director will develop sophisticated content that positions CCNY as a thought leader in health and human services data analytics. Our most successful content formats include:

  • Short video demonstrations that showcase our reporting capabilities and practical applications
  • White papers and thought leadership pieces that communicate our deep expertise
  • Case studies highlighting successful client partnerships and outcomes
  • Supporting content for employee personal branding initiatives and company platforms

Event & Partnership Management

The role involves managing strategic relationships with key industry partners and coordinating our presence at major industry events. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing partnerships with organizations; leveraging their member networks
  • Planning and executing webinars that generate qualified registrations
  • Coordinating presence at approximately six major health and human services and nonprofit industry conferences annually
  • Managing strategic email promotions through partner channels
  • Supporting speaking opportunities for company leadership

Content Distribution & Engagement

The Marketing Director will develop and execute sophisticated distribution strategies to reach our target audience, including:

  • Creating email marketing campaigns leveraging our growing contact database
  • Maintaining a consistent social media presence aligned with our thought leadership goals
  • Optimizing content placement through partnership channels
  • Managing the conversion process from content engagement to sales opportunities

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this role is an energetic and outgoing marketing professional who thrives on building connections and sparking conversations. They should be the type of person who naturally gravitates toward sharing ideas, leading discussions, and being the public face of an organization. We need someone who gets excited about taking complex ideas about data analytics and program evaluation and turning them into engaging stories that capture attention and inspire action.

Beyond just understanding marketing principles, we're looking for someone who inherently understands how to build genuine relationships through both personal interactions and digital platforms. This means being the kind of person who proactively reaches out to partners, confidently represents CCNY at industry events, and naturally maintains an active professional presence on social media. They should be comfortable walking into a room of health and human services executives or nonprofit leaders and initiating meaningful conversations about how data can transform their organizations.

The right person for this role will be a natural initiator - someone who doesn't wait for direction but rather sees opportunities and pursues them. They should be the type who gets energized by juggling multiple projects and relationships, who instinctively knows how to read a room and adapt their communication style to different audiences. We need someone who brings fresh ideas to the table unprompted and isn't afraid to champion new approaches to reaching and engaging our audience.
